About Tea
About Tea
Black tea is carefully crafted through a balanced and controlled process. First, the fresh leaves are withered to about 60–80%, depending on weather conditions, and then allowed to rest to maintain their structure. Next, they are gently rolled in a machine, which helps release natural juices and shape the leaves. The leaves then undergo fermentation (oxidation) for 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the flush, developing their rich color and flavor. Finally, they are dried at gradually increasing temperatures until fully moisture-free. After this final step, the black tea is ready to be enjoyed.
Brewing Method
Brewing Method
Water Temperature:
Use water between 90°C and 100°C (not boiling). Too hot water can damage the delicate leaves and make the tea bitter.
Tea Quantity:
Use about 1–2 teaspoons ( 2-3 grams) of white tea leaves per cup (200–250 ml) of water.
Steeping Time:
Let the tea steep for 2–5 minutes, depending on how light or strong you prefer it.
Method:
Add the tea leaves to a pot or cup, pour the hot water over them, and let it steep. Strain and enjoy.
White tea can also be re-steeped 2–3 times, with slightly longer steeping each time for a richer experience.

Ilam Tea is grown in the misty highlands of eastern Nepal, where cool climates and rich soil shape its distinctive character. The leaves have a naturally vibrant appearance, and once brewed, they gently unfurl to reveal a fresh green hue. The cup is light and smooth, offering delicate floral notes, a subtle sweetness, and a clean, refreshing finish that reflects the purity of its Himalayan origin.
