Our Story

Tea Himalayan is a Nepal-based tea company dedicated to bringing premium Himalayan teas directly from our gardens to customers around the world. We proudly serve individual tea lovers through our online store while also supplying wholesalers and businesses internationally.

Our journey began since three generations ago.

Our grandparents generation planted the very first tea gardens, laying the foundation for our family's lifelong connection with tea. Our parents continued nurturing the plantations with dedication, preserving the quality and traditions that have been passed down through generations. Even today, they remain actively involved in caring for the tea gardens. For many years, despite investing countless hours and hard work into tea cultivation, our family sold only fresh green tea leaves (raw materials) to tea factories. While this supported our livelihood, we always believed our tea deserved to reach tea lovers under our own name. That dream inspired the third generation to create Tea Himalayan. Instead of selling only raw leaves, we decided to manage every step of the journey—from tea cultivation and processing to packaging, exporting, wholesale, and online retail. Today, Tea Himalayan proudly delivers authentic Nepalese Himalayan tea directly to customers across the globe.

The Challenges Behind Our Success

Building Tea Himalayan was far from easy. Like many small family businesses, our biggest challenge was financial. Establishing a tea processing facility required significant investment, and in the early years only a few farmers believed tea manufacturing could become a sustainable business. We also faced constant obstacles, including unreliable electricity and political instability, making production difficult and slowing our progress. Despite these challenges, we never gave up on our vision.

The Birth of Tea Himalayan

As time passed, more local tea farmers recognized the value of producing finest tea instead of selling only fresh leaves.

Fortunately, electricity infrastructure improved, making tea manufacturing more practical. Farmers in our community united with a shared goal of creating better opportunities for everyone. With financial support from a development organization (Unnati organization) and additional investment from local farmers, we established Singhadevi Tea Industry—a cooperative tea factory owned by more than 100 farming families, including our own. Today, Singhadevi Tea Industry produces a wide range of premium Himalayan teas that are exported to markets around the world. At the same time, Tea Himalayan was founded as the marketing and export brand dedicated to sharing these exceptional teas with global customers. While we continue working closely with Singhadevi Tea Industry, we also carefully source premium teas from other trusted tea producers across Nepal to offer an even wider selection of authentic Himalayan teas.
